Application of the new Law on Personal Data Protection - Source: Judicial Academy

On the first day, the seminar was attended by the participants from the basic courts and the basic prosecutor's offices while, on the second day, the seminar was conducted for the high courts and the high public prosecutor's offices from the territory of the Novi Sad appellate jurisdiction.

The topics dealt with within the seminars included:

• The Law on Personal Data Protection
• The relationship between the Law and the new European rules
• Sectoral laws
• Personal datum
• Data processing
• The manager and the person processing the data
• Principles of personal data processing
• The rights of the persons whose data are processed and their protection.

The lecturers within the seminars were Prof. Saša Gajin, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Law of the Union University, and Aleksa Radonjić, Teaching Assistant at the same Faculty.
