Judicial ethics and prevention of corruption in the judiciary
The Judicial Academy is, in cooperation with the portal A whistle, organized training on the topic: "Judge ethics and prevention of corruption in the judiciary".
The training was held on March 17, 2022 at Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research in Belgrade. This time the training was attended by 30 participants of the initial training of the X generation of the Judicial Academy.
The lecturers at this training were: Mirjana Golubović, head of the department for special knowledge and skills of the Judicial Academy and a psychologist Tamara Tomasevic.
The training covered the following topics:
- Code of judicial ethics and its application (judicial integrity and independence of judges; ethical culture - ethics on the Internet);
- Risky situations for the integrity and emergence of corruption in the judiciary (types of conflicts of interest; solution strategies as one of the ways to prevent corruption; exercise - work in small groups);
- The role of the code of ethics in solving ethical dilemmas (identifying ethical problems; Potter's model of solving ethical dilemmas);
- Responsibility for ethical behavior (film "Responsibility");
- Presentation of the "Whistle" activity;
- Final discussion and evaluation.
