Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence
The training was attended by judges, deputy public prosecutors of Basic Courts and High Courts and Prosecutor’s Offices within the Novi Sad Appellate Court jurisdiction.
The topics discussed during the training included:
- International and the latest European standards against domestic violence;
- The Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence – action by competent government bodies i.e. the law enforcement, prosecutor’s offices and the courts;
- Risk assessment with a special insight into victims of violence;
- Urgent measures;
- Multi-sectoral cooperation through work of the Coordination and cooperation group of contact persons.
The lecturers on this training were Olivera Pejak-Prokeš, an Appellate Court judge in Novi Sad and Marica Dujin, Deputy Appellate Public Prosecutor in Novi Sad.
