The training was attended by judges, deputy public prosecutors, judges of misdemeanour courts from basic courts and high courts, prosecutors’ offices and misdemeanour courts within the Novi Sad Appellate Court jurisdiction.
The topics discussed during the training included:
  • International and the latest European standards against domestic violence;
  • The Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence – action by competent government bodies i.e. the law enforcement, prosecutors’ offices and the courts;
  • Risk assessment;
  • Special insight into victims of violence, urgent measures and multi-sectoral cooperation through work of the Coordination and cooperation group of contact persons.

The lecturers on this training were Olivera Pejak-Prokeš, an Appellate Court judge in Novi Sad and Slobodan Josimović, Deputy Public Prosecutor in Novi Sad.
