The training was attended by mentoring judges, judges of misdemeanour courts and deputy public prosecutors within the Novi Sad Appellate Court jurisdiction.

The following topics were covered during the training:

  • Roles and duties of mentors in the judiciary and qualities of successful mentorship;
  • Managing the mentorship relationship and phases of mentorship process;
  • Mentorship learning process and facilitating learning as the key role of a mentor;
  • Communication in mentorship relationship;
  • Moot court technique as a model for trainee's assessment;
  • Mentorship evaluation process of both mentors and trainees at the end of the training.

The lecturers on this training were Tamara Nikolić, Assistant Professor at the University of Belgrade and Igor Milovanov, Head of Education Sector at the Judicial Academy.

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
