Participation of the Judicial Academy in the conference and workshop dedicated to the application of new technologies in the judiciary and the fight against high-tech crime
Realizing the importance of continuous education and monitoring of innovations in the IT sphere and ubiquitous digitization of processes in education and judicial professions, the Judicial Academy participated in April in conferences dedicated to the application of new technologies in the judiciary and the fight against high-tech crime.
The conference dedicated to the application of new technologies "Advancing the HJPC BiH regional ICT (information and communication technologies) Hub initiative through CEPEJ Cyberjustice tools and good practices" was organized on April 16 and 17 in Jahorina, in cooperation with the European Commission for Efficiency in Justice (CEPEJ). and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The representative of the Judicial Academy was Aleksandar Stojanović, head of the Documentation and Information Center.
The main topics of the conference were challenges in the application of information and communication technologies in the judiciary, promotion of CEPEJ cyber tools with a focus on the application of artificial intelligence, video conferencing in court proceedings, e-submissions and e-justice, exchange of experiences and examples of good practice.
The workshop "International Workshop on Combating Cybercrime" was held from April 17 to 19 in Sarajevo, organized by the Judicial Academy of Turkey and the Center for the Education of Judges and Prosecutors of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of the Judicial Academy were Aleksandar Stojanović, head of the Documentation and Information Center, Biljana Stepanović, head of the Documentation and Information Center, and Ratko Marković, public prosecutor in the Special Prosecutor's Office for the fight against high-tech crime at the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
The workshop was dedicated to the application of international regulations, electronic evidence and digital forensics, internet security, as well as the exchange of experiences on current problems in practice in the legal systems of Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey with proposed solutions.

The judicial academies of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in October 2022, within which the holders of judicial positions in Serbia and Turkey exchanged knowledge and experience at workshops in criminal matters.
The next activity as part of the cooperation between the Academies of the Western Balkan countries and Turkey under the name "International Training Program on Contemporary Issues in Human Rights Law and Presentation Competition" will be realized in May in Skopje, in the co-organization of the Judicial Academies of the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of North Macedonia. The Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia will be represented by a three-member team of initial training beneficiaries.
