Preventable femicides and protectable children of femicide victims
On January 24, 2025, the Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the Autonomous Women's Center, organized a training on "Preventable femicides and protectable children of femicide victims."
The training was held in the hall of the Court of Appeals in Novi Sad, and is intended for judges of higher and basic courts, prosecutors of higher and basic public prosecutors, police and employees from social work centers from the territory of the Novi Sad appeal territory.
The topics covered in this training are:
- Coordinated by the actions of higher and basic public prosecutors' offices in cases envisaged by Art. 4 Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence
- Challenges and opportunities in the handling of the Group for coordination and cooperation in cases of committing more serious crimes of gender-based violence - group work
- The position of children whose mothers are victims of femicide in criminal proceedings
