The Judicial Academy is in cooperation withInstitute for Criminological and Sociological Research andForum of lawyers of Serbia in the period from December 12 to 17, 2025, organized a professional conference called "Theory and practice in modern justice: Challenges and solutions".

Minister of Justice Nenad Vujić, Dr. Ivana Stevanović, director of the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research and Srđan Pavličić, acting director of the Judicial Academy, gave opening speeches.

The conference gathered presidents of courts, chief public prosecutors, judges, public prosecutors, lawyers, professors, scientific associates, guests from the region.

The conference program covered current topics from all areas of law, such as amendments to the CC and CPC, the Law on juvenile offenders and juveniles as victims of a criminal offense, administrative litigation and administrative proceedings, the system of free legal aid, digital property, unauthorized possession of narcotic drugs, artificial intelligence and illicit trade.

The conference was organized with the idea of ​​being a space for the exchange of knowledge, experience and examples of good practice from domestic and international law.

Panel discussions were a space for summarizing impressions, reviewing what was achieved and considering topics and areas that marked professional work, as well as for mapping current events important for the effective functioning of the judiciary.

The Judicial Academy takes the opportunity to once again thank all the panelists and participants for their active contribution to the work of the conference.

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
