Strengthening the response to the problem of human trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation
The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the regional project "EU support for strengthening the fight against migrant smuggling and human trafficking in the Western Balkans" (EU4FAST), jointly co-financed by the European Union (EU), the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, the Ministry of the Interior of Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and the project "Strengthening the fight against human trafficking in Serbia" implemented by the Council of Europe, within the framework of the joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey III, organized a workshop "Strengthening the response to the problem of human trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation" on November 17 and 18, 2025 in the "M" hotel in Belgrade.
The goal of the workshop was to strengthen the multisectoral response to the problem of human trafficking with the aim of labor exploitation through the cooperation of labor inspectors, police officers, judges and public prosecutors and the Center for the Protection of Victims of Human Trafficking.
The lecturers at the training were:
- Tamara Mirović, public prosecutor in the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office,
- Biljana Sinanović, retired judge of the Supreme Court,
- Milan Žarković, retired professor of the Criminal Police University.
