Application of Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights
Judicial Academy is in cooperation withOffice of the Council of Europe in Belgrade 20. June 2025. In Novi Sad, organized training on the topic of "Application of Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights" in Novi Sad in the premises of the "President".
The training was aimed at meeting participants with the application of Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights in domestic case law, as well as with the relevant practice of the European Court of Human Rights.
Topics in training were:
- Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Relevant Practice of the European Court of Human Rights,
- Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights in Domestic Judicial Practice,
- Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights - Review of the Practice of the European Court of Human Rights in Cases against Serbia.
The training was attended by judges of basic and higher courts from the field of Novišad appeal and initial training beneficiaries.
The lecturers at the training were
- Nevenka Vazić, judge of the Supreme Court in Pension and Permanent Lecturer of the Judicial Academy,
- Zorana Jadrijevic Mladar, Deputy State Minister of State and the representative of Serbia before the European Court of Human Rights and
- Milan Bajić, a senior legal advisor for harmonization of case law in the Supreme Court.
In the period from March to May 2025, seminars were held for participants from the Belgrade, Niska and Kragujevac appeals.
The Judicial Academy uses the opportunity to once again thank the Office of the Council of Europe in Belgrade in cooperation and support in the development and implementation of training programs.
