Application of the principle of impunity for victims of human trafficking
The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission in Serbia, is part of the project named"Improving the efficiency of the criminal justice system through increasing the efficiency in gathering evidence and implementing international human rights standards", organized a seminar on December 6, 2024 in Nis, in the hall of the Court of AppealApplication of the principle of impunity for victims of human trafficking.
The participants in the seminar were judges of misdemeanor courts, public prosecutors and assistant public prosecutors of basic public prosecutor's offices, as well as beneficiaries initial training of the Judicial Academy.
The key topic of the seminar was the presentation of the legal framework and recommendations for the implementation of the principle of impunity for victims of human trafficking in Serbia.
The lecturers at the seminar were:
- Radmila Dragičević-Dičić, retired judge of the Supreme Court;
- Tamara Mirović, prosecutor in the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office;
- Prof. Dr. Milan Žarković, professor at the Criminalistics and Police University in Belgrade.
