In order to improve the technique and skills of identification, acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting of data stored electronically, more than 20 police investigators and prosecutors of the Anti-Corruption Department participated in GRAY II in Belgrade in the first five-day workshop on the topic of digital forensics in the service of the fight against corruption.

The first of the two planned workshops was realized as part of the Support Project for Strengthening the Rule of Law in the Republic of Serbia, financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The workshop was led by high-tech crime investigation experts from the police of North Rhine-Westphalia:
- Harald Lennemann, MSc. former Chief Inspector, Forensic Computing& Cybercrime Investigation, Germany
- Christian Martinek, Police Inspector, Head of Sector - Cybercrime and Legal Interception, Germany

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
