Niš - Interactive workshop on the topic of new approaches in the exclusion of microtraces during forensic processing of crime scenes
The Judicial Academy is in cooperation with by the OSCE mission in Serbia organized the training "Interactive workshop on the topic of new approaches in the extraction of microtraces during forensic processing of crime scenes" on October 20, 2023 at the "New City" hotel in Niš.
This training was attended by public prosecutors from the territory of the Niš appeal, as well as members of the MUP.
Through the processing and proof of certain criminal acts, the training program is specifically focused on the powers of the public prosecutor in relation to the police according to the Code of Criminal Procedure, practical examples of exercising the powers of the public prosecutor in relation to the police according to valid normative solutions, with special reference to the evidentiary action of the investigation and improving the knowledge of public prosecutors in the field of criminal law.
The following topics were covered in this training:
- Microtraces in situ;
- The role and importance of the prosecutor's presence during the forensic processing of the crime scene;
- Presentation of the case study and work methodology at the workshop;
- Carrying out forensic processing of the crime scene (work in crime scenes)
The lecturers at this training were: Leposava Vujanović Porubović, public prosecutor at the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, dr. Nataša Radosavljević Stevanović, head of the department for physical-chemical and toxicological expertise, National Center for Criminal Forensics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and Sanja Šćekić from the National Center for Criminal Forensics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
