This training course was attended by the public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors from the high and basic prosecutor’s offices from the territory of the Niš appellate jurisdiction.
The topics covered within this training course were:
• Local and international legal framework for the provision of information in criminal proceedings (EU standards on the provision of information to the media in criminal proceedings – principles; local legislation on the protection of particularly vulnerable groups)
• Prevention of leakage of information – mechanisms and measures
• The media reporting in criminal proceedings with special reference to victims of domestic violence and minors
• Prevention of leakage of information on current or planned criminal investigations (case study, practical exercise – work in groups)
• Definition of activities in the communication strategy for the prevention of leakage of information from public prosecutor’s offices (practical exercise – work in groups)
The lecturers within this training course were: Mrs. Danijela Sinđelić, Public Prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Obrenovac, Mrs. Milica Ljubičić, Deputy Public Prosecutor of the Second Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, and Mrs. Mirjana Golubović, the Head of the Department of Special Knowledge and Skills of the Judicial Academy.
