Study visit to Sweden on the topic "Access to women justice"
The European Union and the Council of Europe within the "Horizontal Facility" project for the Western Balkans and Turkey organized a study visit for the delegation of judges and prosecutors from the Republic of Serbia on the topic "Access to women justice".
The study visit was realized in the period from 18. to 21. May 2025. years in Stockholm. The goal of the study visit is to strengthen justice for women, especially women who are victims of violence in accordance with the standards of the Istanbul Convention of Council of Europe as well as contribute to the development of a gender-sensitive judicial system in the Western Balkans.

During the study visit, the delegation of the Republic of Serbia had the opportunity to visit the Swedish Gender Equality Agency, the Municipal Court in Stockholm, the Swedish Ombudsman for Equality as well as the tour of the Swedish Prosecutor's Office. The visit to the visit was organized and a meeting with representatives of the Swedish International Cooperation Agency and Development (SIDA), which has contributed to acquaintance with the Swedish Legal System within the Gender Equality Agenda.
The participants of the study trip were representatives of the Court of Appeals in Novi Sad, the Court of Appeals, the Senior Court in Nis, a higher public prosecutor's office in Belgrade and the Judicial Academy.
