The Judicial Academy is, in cooperation with the portal A whistle, within the regular program of permanent training, organized extraordinary training on the subject of application of the Whistleblower Protection Act.

The training was held on March 31 at the "Kragujevac" hotel for judges and assistant judges of the appellate court in Kragujevac and the basic court in Arandjelovac.

The lecturers at the training were:

• Snezana Andrejević, judge Supreme Court of Cassation retired and member of the working group for the drafting of the Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers i
• Jelena Stevanović, judge Court of Appeal in Belgrade

The training covered the following topics:

• International standards and principles in the system of protection of whistleblowers, Law on Protection of Whistleblowers as a novelty in RS legislation - basic postulates;
• Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers - basic terms prescribed by the Law; procedure and types of alarm; employer's obligations and criminal liability prescribed by the Whistleblower Protection Act; 
• Case studies - practical application of the Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers, familiarization with cases and work in groups on tasks; 
• Portrait of a whistleblower in Serbia; 
• Analysis of previous court practice; 
• Counseling centers for whistleblowers.
