USAID is the American agency for international development, and its Mission in Serbia, through its programs, helps efforts to implement reforms on Serbia's path to joining the EU. 

USAID is helping Serbia strengthen its institutions and make them more accountable to citizens. USAID's activities contribute to strengthening the rule of law by improving the independence, efficiency and professionalism of the judiciary.

USAID Serbia and the Judicial Academy worked hard together to strengthen the functions and capacities of the Academy within the project of direct cooperation between the two governments.

This video was created with the aim of illustrating a project that, among other things, aimed to answer the question of why the Judicial Academy is important, what are its roles and responsibilities, what some of the Academy's participants said.

Through its programs, the USAID mission in Serbia helped the courts to become more transparent and efficient, and helped build the capacity of key judicial institutions so that they would be more responsive to the needs of citizens.

Through its projects, USAID contributed to the construction of a strategic plan for the further institutional development of the Judicial Academy, as well as to the determination of criteria for the employment of trainers and mentors, in order to ensure the high quality of instructors.

USAID projects have helped in the creation of an electronic platform for the training of employees in the judicial administration (e-Academy), as well as in strengthening the administrative capacity of the Academy so that it can provide better training support to holders of judicial functions.

With the support of USAID, two regional offices, departments of the Judicial Academy in Novi Sad and Kragujevac, began to operate.
