Advanced workshop on digital assets for public prosecutors
In cooperation with the Multidonor Fund for Support of the Justice Sector (MDTF-JSS) established at the request of the Ministry of Justice, the second advanced workshop on digital assets for public prosecutors from the Nis appellate area was held at the "Ambassador" hotel in Nis. This workshop builds on the foundations laid by a series of workshops held in 2023, which focused on familiarizing public prosecutors with the legislative framework for digital assets. The aim of the advanced workshop was to provide prosecutors with a deeper understanding of relevant topics related to digital assets, thereby enhancing their current skills and knowledge.
During the workshop, professors from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade provided an insight into the Law on Digital Property and its implications for tax regulations and criminal law. Participants had the opportunity to delve into the legal nature and characteristics of different categories of digital assets. In addition, they have engaged in case studies focused on criminal offenses arising from violations of digital property rules and tax legislation.
The instructors were:
- Miljko Radisavljević, public prosecutor of the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office,
- Prof. Dr. Svetislav V. Kostić, Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade,
- Asst. Ivana Radisavljević, Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade.
The next workshops will be held on May 10 in Novi Sad and on May 20 in Kragujevac. You can read more about this event at the following address:
