The training was organized for judges, public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors from the jurisdiction of the Niš Appellate Court.
The topics discussed during the training included:
- The United Nations Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women;
- The Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (The Istanbul Convention)
- Risk assessment;
- Urgent measures (types, grounds for issuing, duration and violations);
- Multi-sectoral cooperation through work of the Coordination and cooperation group of contact persons.
The lecturers on this training were Biljana Gavrilović, a Misdemeanour Appellate Court judge and Nebojša Tasić, an acting Appellate public prosecutor from Niš.
