Basic training - environmental law
The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission in Serbia, in September 2024, realized project on the topic: "Improving the application of laws in the field of environment through the support of discussions between representatives of the judiciary and through the improvement of the professional skills of trainees at the Judicial Academy".
On this occasion, a training-workshop on the topic: "Basic training - environmental law" was organized on September 16, 17 and 18 in the hall of the Judicial Academy, attended by the beneficiaries of the initial training of the XII generation from the territory of the Belgrade appeal.
The training program was as follows:
• First day - general part
Introductory and basic issues of environmental protection, basic principles of environmental protection, protection of some parts of the environment in the legal order of Serbia (lecturer: Prof. Dr. Mirjana Drenovak-Ivanović).
• Second day - special part
Presentation of the Bill on responsibility for environmental damage, environmental crime and environmental forensics in the RS and the role and practice of the special rapporteur for environmental protection (lecturer: Tina Janjatović, representative of the Ministry of Environmental Protection) and Criminal environmental protection (lecturer: judge Mirjana Tukar of the Misdemeanor Court of Appeal).
• Third day - special part
Commercial offenses with an element of environmental protection (lecturer: Appellate Public Prosecutor Branislava Vučković); Criminal protection of the environment and environmental crimes and solving a hypothetical case (lecturer: judge (retired) of the Court of Appeal in Belgrade Siniša Važić); and Open questions in civil proceedings with an element of environmental protection (lecturer: Prof. Milan Parivodić, Ph.D.).
At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates of their participation for all three days.
