Digital forensics
On November 15, 2024, the Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, organized training on the topic: "Digital Forensics" in the hall of the Judicial Academy in Kragujevac, thus continuing the training program for public prosecutors for the application of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The education program is designed to cover the educational needs of public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors in the area of application of the Criminal Procedure Code. Through the prosecution and proof of certain criminal acts, the program is particularly focused on the powers of the public prosecutor in relation to the police according to the Code of Criminal Procedure. This training was attended by chief public prosecutors, public prosecutors and assistant prosecutors from higher and basic public prosecutor's offices, as well as representatives of police administrations from the territory of the Kragujevac appeal.
The topics covered in this training were:
• The role and importance of digital forensics for criminal prosecution;
• Expertise in electronic and IT devices;
• Expertise in photo and video materials;
• Discussion and questions.
