Digital forensics
As part of the project "Building the capacity of criminal justice officials for better implementation of legislation", which the Judicial Academy is implementing in cooperation with the OSCE Mission in Serbia, the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research in Belgrade held this year's fifth seminar on the topic of digital forensics.
As there are more and more cases in which digital forensic techniques are necessary for the successful collection of evidence, the emphasis of this training module is on digital forensics and work with experts from the forensic center of the MUP.
The lecturers at the training were:
- Boris Majlat, head of the High-Tech Crime Department at the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade;
- Mirko Veljović, Deputy Head of the National Center for Criminal Forensics of the MUP of the Republic of Serbia;
- Predrag Korać, Head of the Department for Electronic and IT Forensic Expertise, National Center for Criminal Forensics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia;
- Bogdan Mladenović, forensic expert, Department of Electronic and IT Forensic Expertise, National Center for Criminal Forensics of the MUP of the Republic of Serbia;
- Dejan Ćirković, Head of the Department for Analysis and Expertise of Photo, Video and Audio Materials, National Center for Criminal Forensics of the MUP of the Republic of Serbia.
