Forensic experiences in the service of execution of evidence
In the project "Capacity of the actors of the Criminal System for the Improvement of Legislation", which is realized in cooperation with the OSCE Mission, on Friday, May 20, 2015. year in the Court of Appeals in Nis, a seminar "Forensic expertise in the service of evidence" was organized. This seminar was attended by judges and judicial assistants from the territory of Nis Appeals that act in this area.
The emphasis of this training model is aimed at better understanding the latest developments in the field of forensic science, which would improve their knowledge and enabled a better assessment of reliability and forensic evidence as well as the legality of their collection from the crime scene.
The following topics were processed at this seminar:
- presentation of case study, model of indictment and material evidence;
- traces and their evidentiary potential in the field of expertise;
- traces and their evidence in the field of physical and chemical expertise;
- traces and their evidentiary potential in the field of trassological and ballistic expertise;
- Interpretation of expertise results in the context of the case and execution of conclusions;
- Toxicological expertise.
The lecturers at this seminar were employed by the Natasa Radosavljević Stevanović, Head of Department of Physical and Toxicological Experts, Operational Forensic, Quality Control, and Promotion of Following Forensic Experts and Analysis, Jelena Stošić, Head of the Department For the DNA of expertise and management of the National DNA of the Registry and Predrag Korać, the head of the Department of Electronic and IT forensic experiences.
