Intellectual property training strategy and EU competition law

The EU -Food Project - the internal market, as well as the cooperation of the Judicial Academy of Serbia, revised the training strategy in the field of intellectual property and EU competition law.

The strategy consists of 9 practical seminars (4 seminars in 2025 and 5 seminars in 2026) in order to "train experts-training coach" intended for judges and by public prosecutors. After 8 sessions, judges-trainers will be available to answer questions about topics discussed, creating a network of specialized Serb judges in this matter that can integrate into informal networks in the EU.

The first seminar in a series of nine seminars was held on 10. April 2025 on the topic: "Protection  Industrial designs in the EU "for the judges of the Belgrade Court of Belgrade, the Commercial Court of Appeals in Belgrade, the Administrative Court of RS and the Court of Appeals in Belgrade. 

The seminar lecturer was Judge Ioanna Mamali, a judge of the Court of Appeals in Piraeus, Greece, Department of Commercial Law.

Goal

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
