To begin with, over 3,500 training users will be able to follow the content through remote training, which fully corresponds to the annual continuous training program for judges and prosecutors for 2020, the training program for members of other judicial professions, the initial training program, and the program of mandatory training provided by special laws. The Academy plans to expand the number of trainings, as well as the number of users, in the coming period.

"Since 2017, the Judicial Academy, in cooperation with EU projects, has been developing new applications in order to improve the methodology of implementing the adopted teaching programs and introduce innovative work methods, such as "distance training". The new equipment that the Judicial Academy received at the end of 2019 through the EU-IPA project enabled the establishment of a Data Center to support developed applications," he says.Nenad Vujić, director of the Judicial Academy.

The Judicial Academy, thanks to the help of the European Union, bought ICT equipment for the establishment of a modern data center, a location for emergency data recovery, and the daily functioning of the system at the level of an individual user.

According to director Vujić, the Judicial Academy does not only offer passive monitoring of the content of its courses, but will also organize interactive classes and lectures in real time.

"In addition to video and interactive courses, the content of which is prepared in advance, it will be possible to hold online trainings in real time. This means that lecturers will be able to hold trainings that users will follow from their computers from any location, with full access to the working materials used by the lecturers. Also, the participants will be able to communicate directly with the lecturers, so that, through an interactive approach, they will participate in solving the set questions problems and questions. At the end of the training, our participants will evaluate the entire training by filling out a questionnaire."

The European Union strongly supports Serbia in the judicial reform. Namely, in recent years, very significant progress has been made in reducing the number of backlogged cases and harmonizing court practice, largely thanks to assistance from IPA funds.
