The Training Programme has been drawn up in such a way as to ensure that the professionals in charge of such investigations are capable of conducting them in line with the relevant requirements.
The topics that were covered during the training were:
- The notion of abuse – international and national legal frameworks, the substantive and the procedural aspects
- Conducting of investigations in cases of abuse – when the obligation arises, independence and impartiality of investigations, urgency in processing
- The actions that need to be undertaken for an investigation to be effective
- The rights of the injured
- Analysis and assessment of evidence.The lecturers within this training course were:
- Mrs. Jasmina Kiurski, Ph.D., Deputy Republic Public Prosecutor
- Mrs. Tatjana Lagumdžija, Deputy Public Prosecutor in the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Sad and a member of the State Prosecutorial Council
- Mr. Žarko Marković, Legal Advisor in the OSCE Mission to Serbia
- Mrs. Nataša Novaković, Legal Advisor and the OSCE Mission National Legal Officer in the Rule of Law and Human Rights.
