The Judicial Academy is in cooperation withOffice of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Belgrade andBelgrade Center for Human Rights, on 15.12.2023. organized a round table on the topic "Interrelation between the asylum procedure and the extradition procedure" in Niš at the "Tami" hotel.


The topics covered at this round table are:

  • Persons in need of international protection in the extradition procedure.
  • Slovenian experience related to alignment with European standards in the field of extradition.
  • National legal framework and case studies on the extradition procedure.
  • Relevant standards for extradition of the European Court of Human Rights. 

 

The lecturers were: 

  • Sybil Kapferer - UNHCR, 
  • Boštjan Zalar - President of the European branch of the International Association of Judges for Refugees and Migrants,
  • Radmila Dragičević Dičić - Retired Judge of the Supreme Court of Cassation.

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
