Participation of the Judicial Academy in the meeting of the Working Group for training methodology of the European Judicial Training Network
European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) held on February 23 and 24, 2023, the first regular meeting in this calendar year of the Judicial Training Methods Working Group.
The meeting was chaired by Arno Vinković, project manager of the Department for Training Methodology, in addition to the general secretary Mrs. Ingrid Dervo.
The participants of the meeting were the national contact points of the Judicial Academies of the member countries and observers of the European Judicial Training Network. The Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia was represented by Igor Milovanov, head of the Department for Research and Education Improvement, and Stefan Vučićević and Andrea Delibašić, members of the Department.
Mrs. Dervo pointed out in her welcome address that the Working Group for Training Methodology will pay special attention to the process of digitization of learning in the current calendar year with a focus on interactivity in a virtual environment and the use of modern digital tools for electronic learning. She emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and exchanging examples of good practice of member countries of the European Judicial Training Network, as well as observer countries. She reminded those present about the activities on the "Western Balkans 2" project and the importance of additional support for strengthening the capacities of the observer countries. She praised the Judicial Academy of Serbia for its work so far, especially the development of training programs based on modern andragogic concepts of interactive work with adults.
She also pointed out that in the coming period, a special Department for the improvement of online training methodology will be opened at the European Judicial Training Network.
Arno Vinković introduced the attendees to the new website of the European Judicial Training Network, as well as the results of the work and the effects of the trainings carried out in the previous calendar year.
Topics at the meeting included the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice in the field of educational needs assessment, evaluation of trainings, methodologies of working with adults, increasing the number of trainings for the development of linguistic skills, as well as planning activities for the next calendar year. In order to facilitate the implementation of the planned activities, the members of the working groups were divided into five project teams. The Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia will actively participate in the work of project team 3 on the development of educational activities and publications dedicated to the development of training methodologies and electronic learning (Innovative Training Methodology, E-learning, E-tools).
