Presentation of the "Costs of Criminal Procedure" manual

The Judicial Academy is in cooperation withby the OSCE mission in Serbia within the project "Building the capacity of actors of criminal justice for better implementation of legislation", organized the presentation of the manual "Costs of criminal proceedings".

The manual was presented in Niš at the "Tami Residence" hotel on May 10, 2024, in the presence of judges, judge and prosecutor's assistants, public prosecutors and lawyers from the territory of the Niš appeal.

The topics discussed at the presentation of the manual were:

  • Deciding on the costs of criminal proceedings, observed shortcomings and possible solutions;
  • Characteristic questions and dilemmas in the courts when deciding on the costs of criminal proceedings;

The speakers at this presentation were also the authors of this manual, Siniša Važić, retired judge of the Court of Appeal in Belgrade and Svetlana Tomić Jokić, judge of the Supreme Court of Serbia.

The moderator at this presentation was Nataša Novaković, head of the program for human rights and the criminal justice system of the OSCE Mission in Serbia.

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
