The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission in Serbia, organized the presentation of the manual "Costs of Criminal Procedure" in Belgrade on November 15, 2024.

The topics covered in the training are:
• Deciding on the costs of criminal proceedings, perceived shortcomings and possible solutions i
• Characteristic questions and dilemmas in the courts when deciding on the costs of criminal proceedings.

After the presentation, time was left for discussion and solving problematic issues.

The lecturers were Siniša Važić, judge of the Court of Appeal in Belgrade (retired) and Svetlana Tomić Jokić, judge of the Supreme Court of Serbia.

The participants of this training were public prosecutors, judges, assistant judges and public prosecutors, beneficiaries of the initial training of the Judicial Academy and lawyers.

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
