Presentation of the Manual on the costs of criminal proceedings

On November 7, 2025, at the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research in Belgrade, the Judicial Academy held a seminar entitled "Presentation of the Manual on the Costs of Criminal Procedure".

The seminar was organized with the significant support of the OSCE Mission in Serbia and is the last event of the year on this topic. Before this meeting, the same seminars were held in Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Niš.

The event was attended by 48 judges, public prosecutors, assistants and associates of judges and public prosecutors, participants of the initial training of the Judicial Academy, as well as lawyers.

The lecturers at the seminar were Svetlana Tomić Jokić, judge of the Supreme Court, and Siniša Važić, retired judge of the Supreme Court.

The topics presented at the seminar were:

  • deciding on the costs of criminal proceedings - observed shortcomings and possible solutions;
  • characteristic questions and dilemmas in the courts when deciding on the costs of criminal proceedings.
