Published working version of the Law on the Judicial Academy

In accordance with the defined domestic strategic framework, as well as the international obligations from Chapter 23, the Ministry of Justice drafted the working version of the Law on the Judicial Academy, proposing alternative solutions in accordance with the conclusions of the held Working Group meetings.

The working version of the law was sent to the Venice Commission on September 12, 2024, in order to obtain an opinion on the compliance of the working text with the standards of the Council of Europe. According to the work plan of the Ministry of Justice, a public hearing on the working version of the law will be held in October.

Create the prerequisites for the development of professionalism in holders of judiciary office by establishing clear, measurable and objective criteria for the election and career advancement and their training and professional development, in line with core values and principles the judiciary system is founded on.

Goal

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
