The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the Pishtaljka portal, organized training on the application of the Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers.
The training was held on June 6 in Novi Sad for judges and judicial assistants from the area of ​​Novi Sad appeal.

The lecturers at the training were Snežana Andrejević, a retired judge of the Supreme Court and a member of the working group for the drafting of the Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers, and Jelena Stevanović, a judge of the Court of Appeal in Belgrade.

The training covered the following topics:
- International standards and principles in the whistleblower protection system, the Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers as a novelty in RS legislation - basic postulates; judicial protection
- Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers - basic concepts prescribed by the Law; procedure and types of alarm; employer's obligations and criminal liability prescribed by the Whistleblower Protection Act;
- Case studies – practical application of the Whistleblower Protection Act, familiarization with cases and work in groups on tasks;
- Portrait of a whistleblower in Serbia;
- Analysis of previous court practice.
