The UN Agency (UNHCR) in Serbia and the Judicial Academy continues co-operation at raising judges, prosecutors, judicial and prosecutorial assistants, as well as other interested professionals in the areas of international protection and refugee, as well as prevent and reduce statelessness.

In the framework of this partnership:

We develop and organize various trainings on the topics of refugee law and protection of refugees, as well as prevention and reduction of statelessness.
We provide regular updating online modules on the distance learning platform.

As part of the co-operation, the Judicial Academy was donated technical equipment, which further strengthens the capacities for education and improving refugee protection and persons at risk of statelessness.

Mission

Create the prerequisites for the development of professionalism in holders of judiciary office by establishing clear, measurable and objective criteria for the election and career advancement and their training and professional development, in line with core values and principles the judiciary system is founded on.

Goal

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
