The Judicial Academy organized a Course on Traffic Accident Investigation at the Basic Court in Zaječar on November 18 and 19, 2024, and at the High Court in Leskovac on December 2 and 3, 2024.

The two-day trainings were intended for judges and public prosecutors who act in cases of traffic accidents, as well as members of the traffic police.

Taking into account the new legal and by-law regulations in the field of road traffic safety, and especially the new competences in the performance of traffic accident investigations, it is necessary to conduct professional training of public prosecutors, judges and other experts who participate in these activities.

The following topics were covered in these trainings:

• The concept of investigation, methods of fixing the accident site
• Elements of investigative documentation
• Practical problems in conducting investigations from the perspective of traffic experts
• Elements of traffic trasology
• Practical problems of investigation and omissions observed during the investigation of traffic accidents - examples from practice
