Equipment law of the European Union in the context of the legal system of the Republic of Serbia

In cooperation with the European Training Network in the Judiciary (EJTN), the Judicial Academy within the Project "Western Balkans II" 07. and 08. October to Belgrade, organized training for lecturers and experts in the topic: the European Union law in the context of the Legal System of the Republic of Serbia ". Training for lecturers and experts in the subject area gathered 21 participants, judges from all four appeals in Serbia, as well as judges of the Commercial Court of Montenegro.

Training for lecturers and experts from the subject area were opened by the Training Department for special types of rights in the Judicial Academy Marija Milaković and the project manager, "Western Balkans II" European Training Network in Justice (Ejtn) Vanja Tekić. 


The key topics that were processed in training for lecturers and experts from the subject area were: 

•    The status of compliance of the economic law of the Republic of Serbia with the law of the European Union
•    Citizenship law of the European Union
•    E-Justice Portal
•    Introduction of European payment order
•    EU intellectual property law
•    Right to stamp and stamp protection
•    EU bankruptcy law; EU legal framework and EU practice
•    Bankruptcy Law (Case Study)
•    Compensation for harm to market competition (EU right in the context of the right to compensation of the Republic of Serbia)
•    Compensation for damage to the law of market competition (case study)


     Lecturers in training for lecturers and experts from the subject area were:

  • Tatjana Matković-Stefanović, judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Serbia
  • Jelena Čuven, Judge of the High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia 
  • Ioanna Mamali, Judge of the Court of Appeals in Pirae, Greece, Department of Economic Law

Create the prerequisites for the development of professionalism in holders of judiciary office by establishing clear, measurable and objective criteria for the election and career advancement and their training and professional development, in line with core values and principles the judiciary system is founded on.

Goal

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
