On the YouTube channel of the Judicial Academy, you can follow the live broadcast of the largest discussion of the judicial profession on new judicial laws, organized by Association of Judges and Prosecutors of Serbia (UST), and in cooperation with the Judicial Academy i Association of Magistrate Court Judges (USUDPREK).

The round table, entitled "New judicial laws in the interest of all citizens - challenges and solutions" will be held at the "Metropol Palace" hotel starting at 10:30 a.m. on November 8, 2022.

In the welcoming speech, from 10:30 to 11:00, the attendees will be addressed by:

  • Moderator - Nenad Vujić, director of the Judicial Academy and coordinator of Cluster 1 Elementary
  • Maja Popović, Minister of Justice
  • N J.E.Emanuele Giofre, head of the European Union delegation in Serbia
  • Nenad Stefanović, president of MOUTH and Senior Public Prosecutor in Belgrade
  • Goran Božić, judge of the Criminal Appellate Court, representative of FATA

The following will also speak at the conference:

  • Jovan Ćosić, Assistant Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Working Group for Drafting the Working Text of the Law on the Organization of Courts, the Working Text of the Law on Judges and the Working Text of the Law on the High Council of the Judiciary

The organizers of the conference, once again, remind the importance of amending these laws in accordance with constitutional amendments and European standards, which should create conditions for a more efficient and responsible judiciary in Serbia. These are proposals for new laws - the Law on Judges, the Law on Public Prosecution, the Law on the High Council of the Judiciary, the Law on the High Council of Prosecutors and the Law on the Organization of Courts.
