Presentation of the Manual for confiscation of property resulting from a criminal offense - Kragujevac
On February 25, 2022, at the Šumarice Hotel (Desankin venac bb) in Kragujevac, a presentation was held Manual for confiscation of property resulting from a criminal offense which was prepared with the help of the Office for International Assistance, Development and Training in the Judiciary (OPDAT) of the Department of Justice of the United States of America, OSCE missions in Serbia and Judicial Academy.
Through the presentation of the manual, the authors spoke on the subject of confiscation of property and problems in practice. The presentation was held for public prosecutors, judges and police officers. All participants received the Manual upon completion of the training.
The presenters of the manual, as well as its authors, were:
- Igor Veljić, police captain, Financial Investigations Unit
- Saša Ivanić, deputy prosecutor for organized crime
- Dragoslav Marković, deputy prosecutor for organized crime
- Nevenka Važić, judge Supreme Court of Cassation
- Milena Rašić, judge Court of Appeal in Belgrade
In addition to the presenters of the manual, representatives of OPDAT, OSCE, and the Judicial Academy were also present.
