Project "Justa" - firearms in the courtroom
The United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in cooperation with the Judicial Academy and the Criminal Code, organized a training called "Fire weapons", held on 23. and 24. April 2025. years in the premises of the Criminal Police University in Belgrade.
The training was aimed at acquainting with technical characteristics of firearms, its parts, ammunition and explosive substances, as well as with court practice and disputed legal issues arising in the cases of this nature. Special attention was paid to orders for the expertise and reconstruction of criminal offenses made using firearms.
The topics that are processed at the mentioned training are as follows:
- The normative framework regulating firearms, its parts and ammunition
- Introduction to the "B" weapon of the category
- Introduction to convertible weapons
- Introduction to the "A" weapon category
- new types of weapons, new threats and handmade weapons
- UNODC Collection of Court Practices in Cases relating to firearms
- Disputed legal issues related to weapons "A" and "B" Categories
- Disputed legal issues related to convertible weapons and explosive substances
- Order for expertise of firearms
- Reconstruction of criminal offenses performed using weapons
