Specialized training for the implementation of the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence
The Judicial Academy, as part of the regular program of permanent training, on March 11, 2022, in The misdemeanor court in Belgrade implemented extraordinary training on the application of the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence.
The training was organized for the judges of the misdemeanor courts from Lazarevac and Valjevo and prosecutor's associates from the basic public prosecution offices from Belgrade, Mionica, Čačak and Vršac.
The topics covered in the training were:
- UN Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women;
-Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence;
-Risk assessment;
-Emergency measures, type and basis for adoption, duration and violation;
-Multisectoral cooperation through the work of the Group for coordination and cooperation and contact persons.
The lecturers at the training were Prof. Dr. Gordana Gasmi, full professor and research associate Institute for Comparative Law and Gorjana Mirčić Čaluković, Deputy Public Prosecutor.
