Anti-Corruption Forum
The speakers on the Forum were:
- Nela Kuburović, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Serbia
- H.E. Ambassador Sam Fabrici, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia
- Dragomir Milojević, President of the Supreme Court of Cassation
- Zorica Stojšić, First Deputy of the Republic Public Prosecutor
- Nenad Vujić, Director of the Judicial Academy
- Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, Minister of the Interior and Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia
- Andrea Oricio, Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia
According to Minister Kuburović, significant progress has been made when it comes to improved cooperation among all relevant bodies and institutions, by creating a network of liaison officers from 13 relevant institutions each of whom have undergone specialised training. Kuborović added that the biggest step forward was made by adoption and implementation of the new law, by the establishment of improved cooperation between competent authorities and institutions.
The Director of the Judicial Academy pointed to the importance of specialized trainings conducted since the commencement of the enforcement of this Law that has included 610 judges, law enforcement officers and financial forensic experts, as the task force for the fight against corruption.
The Forum was attended by over 150 representatives of specialized departments for the prevention of corruption, including deputy public prosecutors, judges and law enforcement officers, liaison officers, experts engaged on the project, as well as representatives of other state authorities taking part in anti-corruption.
