The course has been devised for prosecutors, judges, police officers, and other professionals working on the tasks of road traffic accident investigations.
The topics that were covered within the two-day training course were: the investigation at the scene of traffic accident occurrence, methods of cordoning off the scene of an accident, the investigation documentation, the traffic traceology, the most important traces of road traffic accidents, the crime-investigative and technical treatment of the traffic accident scene, the traffic and technical expert witnessing, practical problems of conducting investigations at the scene of traffic accident occurrence and omissions identified during the conducting of investigation, analysis of selected examples from the prosecutors' practice, as well as the analysis of certain cases from the practice of the courts from the territory of the High Public Prosecutor's Office - the High Court in Niš.
For the participants and lecturers, practical simulations of accidents were organized with the participation of pedestrians and the trainees also went out of the building to the simulated investigation at the scene of the traffic accident.
The lecturers within this training course were: Prof. Krsto Lipovac, D.Sc., and Prof. Milan Vujanić, D.Sc., graduate traffic and transport engineers from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade, Assist. Professor Miladin Nešić, D.Sc., graduate traffic and transport engineer from the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies in Belgrade, and Dragan Obradović, Ph.D., Justice of the High Court in Valjevo.
