More intensive cooperation with the Academy of European Law
Minister of Justice Maja Popović met with the director of the Academy of European Law (ERA), Jean-Philippe Razad.
Popović expressed her interest in improving cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Academy of European Law.
She emphasized the importance of educating Serbian judges, public prosecutors and lawyers in the field of European Union law, through trainings organized by the Academy of European Law in cooperation with the Judicial Academy.
To this end, she expressed the readiness of the Republic of Serbia to join the JUSTICE Program of the European Commission and to become a full member of the Academy of European Law, which will open the opportunity for domestic legal experts to attend educational programs financed under this program more intensively than at the moment. Program, implemented by the Academy of European Law in cooperation with the Judicial Academy.
Director Ražad expressed satisfaction with the intention of the Republic of Serbia to promote further cooperation and emphasized the readiness of the Academy of European Law for Serbia to become its full member.
The meeting was attended by the director of the Judicial Academy, Nenad Vujić, the assistant to the Minister of Justice, Branislav Stojanović, and the deputy director of the Judicial Academy, Maja Prelić Simović.
