Multisectoral cooperation of courts and centers for social work
The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with UNICEF, organized a round table on the topic: "Multisectoral cooperation of courts and centers for social work in family disputes" in the hall of the Judicial Academy in Niš on September 1, 2023.
This round table was attended by judges from the territory of the Nis appeal, as well as acting case managers from centers for social work who act in those cases. The conclusions of this round table with proposed measures will be presented to the members of the working group for amending the Family Law.
The topics discussed at this round table were:
- Children's rights in civil court proceedings and disputes from family relations;
- Special knowledge and skills in working with children in civil matters;
- Retrospective of previous practice in cooperation between courts and centers for social work;
- Discussion and comments on current practice, identification of problems;
- Suggestions for improving mutual cooperation.
The moderators at this round table were judge Zorana Delibašić of the Supreme Court and the president of the High Council of the Judiciary, and Nada Šarac, head of the department for professional training from Republic Institute for Social Protection.
