The training at the Supreme Court of Cassation was attended by judges of criminal branches of basic courts and the first-instance judges from criminal branches of the high courts from the jurisdiction of the Belgrade Appellate Court.

The objective of the training was to present the results of the courts in 2018 regarding settling the backlog and prevention of its reoccurrence, with a view to plans for the forthcoming period, the requirements under Chapter 23 and the CEPEJ reporting requirements (the Council of Europe European Commission for the efficiency of justice- CEPEJ).

The lecturer on this training was Snežana Andrejević, a judge (retired) of the Supreme Court of Cassation spoke about how to resolve the backlog and prevent its reoccurrence, as well as about data management and court statistics, while Božidar Vujičić, a Supreme Court of Cassation judge presented the methods for the development of judge’s individual plan for settling the backlog.
