Judicial Academy iEuropean Council held a two-day Training for Trainers (ToT) in Belgrade on June 12 and 13, 2023 as part of the HELP project for the Western Balkans.

The training was attended by judges, prosecutors, lawyers and other legal experts from the region.

 

Members also participated in this trainingNational network of judges and prosecutors for the implementation of the standards of the European Court of Human Rights in the Republic of Serbia.

The meeting was opened by the director of the Judicial Academy - Nenad Vujić, after which Jasminka Peruničić Alen, Senior Project Manager from the Council of Europe office in Belgrade, presented the project calledHELP for the Western Balkans.

About the HELP online platform and the HELP training methodology, Eva Masa, an international consultant and creator of online legal courses, spoke. In the introductory part, Eva Pastrana, head of the department for justice and human rights from the Council of Europe, greeted all the participants, on which occasion she introduced them to the progress and expectations of the course.

During the training, Ivana Krstić, a professor from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, spoke about practical advice and examples of good practice, while the presentation of already existing HELP courses and their working principle was presented by Ana Maria Telbis, deputy head of the department for justice and human rights from the Council of Europe. . On the second day, Sanja Jovičić from the Agency for the European Union addressed the course participants.
